Superstars was founded in 1981 by Jan Stivers.
Because of her commitment to excellence and love
for twirling, dance, tumbling and above all, children,
the school flourished to over 450 students. However,
Jan wanted the ability to better serve families
in West Des Moines, Urbandale, Waukee, Grimes
and surrounding communities. So in 2005, the Superstars
expanded and opened a new school in Grimes, the
Grimes Superstars. |

| The
following year, the Superstars grew even larger
by adding another Superstars location in Carlisle
and a Music studio in Norwalk, thus becoming the
Superstars Performing Arts Academy, offering everything
from baton, cheer, tumbling and dance lessons
to piano, violin and Kindermusik! |

| In
2007, owner Jan Stivers handed the Grimes Superstars
reigns over to Jenny Heiman, studio manager and
dance teacher, who has been with the Grimes studio
since its opening. Jenny is elated for this opportunity
to live her lifelong dream and hopes to make Jan
and the Superstars family proud! Visit
